Fire Shutters
Vulcan fire resisting roller shutter doors have been tested to BS476 part 22, clause 8 for non-insulating doors. Self coiling doors up to 3000mm wide x 3000mm high are spring assisted and produced complete with a “drop bar” assembly. Doors exceeding this size are fitted with a “controlled descent” mechanism. Shown right is before & after a 4 hour fire test at Warrington Research Centre.
Sectional Doors
Insulated sectional overhead doors give guaranteed high thermal performance, avoiding cold bridging compared with traditional roller shutters. The panels have a thermal performance that is greater than required by the Building Regulations. Windows can be installed in single or multiple panels. Panels can be prefinished in an extensive range of colours and materials. Damaged doors can be easily repaired using replacement materials and components.
Strip Curtains

Roll Fast Doors
The modern user friendly door controls are designed to accept all types of signal system, eg. induction loops, radar or radio transmitters. The doors is designed for safety and longevity of service. The gearbox contains an anti-crash device and there is a facility to open the door in the event of a power failure. Self monitoring opto dynamic safety edge, rubber seal bottom rail, photo-electrc cell and emergency stop button are provided as standard.
Collapsible Gates
A Trellidor is a fully framed security barrier constructed with a trellis design, positively located within a securely anchored frame. suitable for expandable applications (where access is required), and fixed applications (where no access is required). Trellidors are top hung to ensure smooth operation, with low friction and minimal maintenance. All steel components undergo a chemical pre-treatment including phosphating prior to being powder coated. Trellidors are manufactured under stringent quality control standards in accordance with ISO 9002 procedures.
Steel Hinged Door
This door achieves a rating of 120mins in accordance with the criteria laid down in BS476 part 20 & 22.
ith an overall thickness of 47mm, and comprised of 1.2mm galvanised steel skin and a honeycomb core. The door skins are folded and glued. The door leaf has a high surface finish with accurate sizing. The door leaf is hung on three stainless steel butt hinges with security dog bolts into the frame.
